EIGHTEENTH ANNUAL REPORT

It gives me immense pleasure to present you the 18^th Annual Report of our association and the Audited Statement of Accounts for the year 2000-20001, for your consideration.

As you are aware, our Association is rendering yeomen service to the society, particularly to Bunts Community, ever since its inception in 1982. Under the able leadership of our young and dynamic President, Shri Kadandale Parari Advocate Prakash L. Shetty, during the year under report, our Association has completed 19 years of meaningful service to the community.

ACTIVITIES IN BRIEF:

BUILDING COMMITTEE

This Committee compromising of twenty members, including all our Ex-Presidents with Chairman being our Founder President Dr. Shama Shetty, has been very active during the year, in the task of completion of our building project, at Sanpada, Navi Mumbai.

We have already constructed the compound wall after completing the leveling work of the plot. Our building plan is under final stages of approval of the authorities of Navi Mumbai Municipal Corporation. Soil Test work being carried on at the site and we have received the Test Report on 18th May 2001. I am happy to mention here that we are planning to have the foundation stone laying ceremony in the month of October 2001 and I request all our community members to donate generously to this PROUD project of WE BUNTS.

We had a get-together of dignitaries, elders, donors and noted personalities of our community, on 2nd September 2000 at Swamy Nityanand Hall to discuss and deliberate on the subject of our building plan and construction work of building and means and ways of financing the said Project. The meeting was chaired by our President Shri. Prakash L. Shetty, who along with the chairman of the building committee, Dr. Shama Shetty, explained in detail about our proposed building project to the August gathering. Very useful and important suggestions and advises have come from many dignitaries present on the occasion. Mr. Jayakar S. Shetty, Mg. Director, Technomech Off Shore Services Pvt. Ltd. who gave valuable suggestions on the occasion was made a member of the building committee.

Similarly, on 15th October 2000, on the occasion of get-together of Navi Mumbai Bunts at Bhae Sabhagraha , Vashi, where our president and chairman of the building committee were guest of honors , explained in detail about our building project coming up at Sanpada. We have received a tremendous response from more than one thousand Bunts. Present at the occasion and all have whole heartedly welcomed the project and assured the support. The function is presided over by the President of the Navi Mumbai Hotel Association, Shri. Jagannath K. Shetty who is also the member of our Committee.
